Doves - Description

The Peaceful Doves have been an excellent addition to the community. They are larger and more elegent than the ubiquitous Diamond Doves and so compliment them well. So far, they have not nested or bred but we remain hopeful that the 2017 season will see them come to maturity and be as fecund as the Diamonds - it would certainly be nice to see their number swell.

As with all of the doves, they are primarily seed-eaters and prefer to feed on the ground. they roost in a variety of places and are almost always together as a pair. They seem generally unconcerned by the rest of the community, and are always able to find a quiet spot to sunbath when the sun' out. Like all of the other doves that we've kept, they are not aggressive towards other species, prefering a quiet but contented life, it would appear.
